Our review

The JBL Go 3 is one of the most beloved speakers ever made — 52,000+ reviews at 4.8 stars with 87% five-star. That satisfaction rate is almost unheard of for any electronic device. The reason: it is genuinely tiny, genuinely waterproof, genuinely loud, and sounds genuinely good.

JBL Pro Sound delivers punchy bass and clear audio that has no business coming from something this small. IP67 waterproof AND dustproof — take it to the pool, the shower, the beach, the rain. One reviewer left it outside during a thunderstorm and it still works perfectly. 5 hours of battery. Bluetooth pairs instantly. Integrated loop clips to any bag.

One reviewer says it outperformed a $90 off-brand speaker that was 4x its size. Another has been using theirs daily since 2022. Multiple reviewers buy multiples — one for each room, one for travel. Available in 20+ colours with bold fabric and expressive design.

The downsides: 5 hours battery is not class-leading (JBL Clip 4 offers 10). No Bluetooth charge level on phone. Bass is limited by the small size. And you cannot pair two Go 3s together (no PartyBoost). But at this price for a speaker backed by 75+ years of JBL audio engineering, there is simply nothing better in the ultra-portable category.

FAQ

Can I use it in the shower?

Yes — IP67 means fully waterproof. Submerge up to 1 metre for 30 minutes. Shower, pool, beach, rain — no problem.

How does it sound for its size?

Surprisingly good. JBL Pro Sound delivers clear audio with punchy bass that outperforms most speakers this small. Not a party speaker, but fills a room at moderate volume.

Can I pair two together?

No — the Go 3 does not support PartyBoost or stereo pairing. For that feature, step up to the JBL Flip 6 or Charge 5.

How long has the JBL Go 3 been around?

Since 2020, with continuous availability and consistently stellar reviews. Multiple reviewers report years of daily use with no issues.
